Hey #QueryIsland citizens! Gathering a lot of info on self publishing as we plow into the middle of the year. Sheesh, wasn't it just Christmas yesterday?
Anyway, its a learning experience just like pursuing traditional publishing. How many of you out there self-published your first book in a series only to get picked up for traditional publishing later? I have a few contacts and a few did and didn't.
Me? As an unpublished author, I think I need to also prove to myself that I am worth taking a chance on. Well, I believe I am. Its more proving it to readers and the industry at large.
I am willing to do the work and willing to navigate this side of the industry with the same vigilance as the other.
Yeah, I know I am talking to a blog with minimal visibility at present. One day that is going to change. I aim to market myself and my work to the point where my words are out there and people will react to them.
I already had a thick skin, but publishing, writing, getting that author's badge of honor, will either take you out or spur you forward. For now, I am learning and spurring forward!
Writers! Lets go! Be your own energy and if you need some, you can borrow a bit of mine!
WRITERS ARE LEGION
