Hump Day Writing

Another Wednesday, another 1000 words. So between a poem and a chapter on a new project, I am getting 1000 words written today. I am doing my best to exercise my craft as I trudge through the traditional process.

I call it #QueryIsland because often querying writers feel as if they are on an island alone. I was there. We make the mistake of feeling isolated when there is an entire #WritingCommunity of support out there.

Whether its Hump Day or any other day, writers, remember you aren't alone. The fact is, many things are causing many people to self harm, demotivation, or worse because life is hard.

Now while I am not one for coddling people, especially myself, I do feel how devastating the current structure of the traditional process can be on those of us without a thick skin.

I have one, and I would like to encourage those that dont. I am a writer, unpublished, and doubt does creep in. Writers, you aren't alone! You have people that give a damn about you! If you need us reach out! Lets help each other get off this accursed literary resort. Lord knows I dont want to be the mayor of #QueryIsland forever!
