Mayor of #QueryIsland

A lot of folks on Twitter/X ask me what I mean when I say I am the Mayor of #QueryIsland. Well, here's the illustrious answer! I started the notion of #QueryIsland in Twitter/X posts as a coping mechanism to represent the hardships of the traditional publishing process. I've been on this journey for over 2 and a half years and I've learned that a lot of writers, even in half that time, end up depressed, disgruntled, or demotivated. I've had many interactions with such writers, including dealing with some of them within myself, but ultimately I chose to spend most of my time on the platform trying to encourage writers to keep pushing for their dreams. Sometimes, the good vibes and positive energy even come back to me via other inspirational writers. That's why I keep up the good fight and I keep faith in myself and in the process. I'll soon start documenting this part of my journey through my last leg of the traditional process for my first book: Legacies Etched In Obsidian: Ascension. In the meantime, I'll talk about my adventures on #QueryIsland as its mayor. From avoiding the Quicksand of Despair, in the northern part of this accursed literary resort, to the Fog of Entropy looming above it, us querying authors need to back each other up and support each other! I am a fan of #WritingCommunity on Twitter/X and Bluesky. So hit me up on either one. Let's talk about our journeys together! Feel free to comment! Happy writing and remember: WRITERS ARE LEGION!
