Woeful Stuffs!

Oh the woes of being in the trenches on #QueryIsland! I will have you know that I fight against them everyday. Sitting here at work, working hard, but every break updating that inbox.

Agents we know you work hard! Writers we feel how we feel inspire of that knowledge! A lot of writers feel agents, acquiring editors, and the like are gatekeepers. It's real easy to feel this way. It's like blaming God for.everything bad right?

I look at it differently, now. In the beginning I thought the gatekeeper thing. Now I think of it more like agents and editors need to put out what they believe is the best product or best fit for them.

The only issue is that it's all subjective right? I wish the process was less subjective and more intrepid. Many writers struggle to try to write something unique! Others just write for the trends. Others still, milk a series they have to the bone.

I hope one day an agent or an editor at a publisher will see what I have written and take a chance on it. Writers feel this way often before becoming published authors!

Like most people, we want to be seen through our words. Heard through our creativity. Recognized for our efforts.
