Work VS Writing Woes

I am sitting in and amazing meeting about marketing and networking which is helpful, BUT I wish I was writing right now! I long to get back to creating, weaving words into stories, stitching together interesting plot lines.

Alas, the day job wins out! How many of you all feel the same? How often do you sit at your desk at work wishing you are at your desk at home? For me it's everyday.

Also plodding along in the traditional process makes the waiting, the rejections, and the demotivating a chore to mitigate.
