True Miracle

A story of blood, even before the flood, was set into motion from our very creation on this earth

I think back, along a certain track, the true value of this season’s worth

At it’s inception, no perhaps it’s reception, many disbelieved, murdered, and saw a savior rejected

He came to endure, while remaining pure, the persecution of a blind world that stayed dejected

Times and thoughts back then, while rooted in sin, would keep the people united as if they had a case

From atheism, to materialism, thrive during Christ’s birthright and are again in our face

But before the rapture, I’d like to capture, for once, a global picture of what we should show

The undying love, granted from above, that starts from within eventually to outwardly flow

It should flow to others, our sisters and brothers, from next door to across the city we live

Even overseas, if you please, to those that have nothing but faith to give

Think my friends, as we do this again, we covet things at a time that should be about giving and grace

Doing this, makes a point we often miss, that showing Jesus’ warmth is always in good taste

There will still be those, I suppose, that will try to ruin our joy with predictions of death and strife

But I know a savior, despite such behavior, that has taught me lessons of saving souls and giving life

Please hear me out, there is no doubt, that the standards of our faith are both high and needed

Take up your cross, go to the lost, filling the kingdom is our calling and it should be heeded

Put your feet on the gravel, get out and travel, don’t let laziness or the enemy grip your mind

Don’t make them wait, it’s never too late, those that you serve now might do the same in kind

In this season, for these reasons, I speak not of times that are horrid and gory

Through Christ’ grace, and us keeping pace, Christmas can again spread the power of His story
