A BETTERED WORLD

A loving world
A wish
For beloved bliss
Need to inject
And infect
Said world with caring
I'm glad you're sharing
Not staring
But raring
To go
Not a John Doe
But outspoken
To help the literarily broken
Lift them
Be with them
Yes I'm impressed
PERSISTENCE
Shelved some work
Stunted a piece
Traditional publishing
The hunted release
Keep up your mind
Hone your craft
Through many numbers of despised drafts
Focus on the end
Never break, only bend
Rise to glory
Tell your story
STRIVE

In any relationship of affinity
We desire steadfast serenity
Rarely are we granted such pleasures
They with much toil and potent measures
Loving and liking can be of the sort chaotic Perhaps worthy of all effort exotic
Turbulent woes
It often goes
WRITTEN WITH ATTITUDE
Yeah, I wrote that
Or perhaps spoke that
That piece made of words
A treat not absurd
Relish its tone
Let it perch on the thrones
Those of your heart and mind
Let it soothe your stress
Let it be a sign
For you to relax
Shrug off the day's attacks
SPOKEN WORD

Lip play
A soft dance
All converging
Merging in a pillow fight
They travel upon
Each other
Delicate moving
Soothing the souls
Companions driven
To protect and love
Each other's vice
Life's mission chosen
Many miles
Yes, oh yes
Traversed, driven
Passion given
RED INCARNATE

Auburn, crimson, and scarlet granted Perhaps the ruby hue of a pomegranate
More fruit? No roots! Maybe starfruit Those delicious things that always suit
Burgundy's stain or a cherry's blush
A gentle kiss causing cheeks to flush
LITERARY EXPRESSION

Our own lies
Play before our eyes
Like gruesome truths
We come to rue
Break the chains
Bear the pains
A writer strong
A poet with songs
Be the soul of your words
Laugh at the absurd
Project your heart
Through this blessed art
PROPOSAL

Is this man a boss or a king
His plan is to give her a ring
Let his choice be true
Give him what he's due
A good life. The best of all things.
LITERARY EXPRESSION

Storm away, moonflower
Take this world
More every hour
Are your petals soft
Are your petals light
Perhaps cleave flesh in a fight
Your undeniable strength
Of heart and of mind
Of body and every kind
Be you. A pillar. An example.
